Benefic and Malefic Enclosures in BNN Astrology

One of the more nuanced concepts in Bhrigu Nandi Nadi (BNN) astrology is the principle of enclosures — how a planet's results are modified by the planets immediately surrounding it in adjacent houses. A planet enclosed by benefics performs its functions more smoothly; a planet enclosed by malefics faces friction and resistance.

In BNN, enclosure reading adds a layer of precision to conjunction analysis:

• Benefic enclosure — a planet flanked by Jupiter and Venus (or other benefics) is protected and strengthened. Its results come more easily and with less struggle.
• Malefic enclosure — a planet flanked by Saturn and Mars (or other malefics) faces obstacles in expressing itself. Results are delayed or come with significant effort.
• Mixed enclosure — one benefic, one malefic on either side creates a mixed result — some areas of the house's signification work well, others face challenge.
